I created this company to drive change in the way people learn to lead.

With an MA in international affairs and a decade of experience working in over twenty-five countries, I have witnessed firsthand the reverberating impact of a single leader.

Driven by an unrelenting passion to help leaders find their authentic “great,” I dedicated my life’s work to creating better leaders. And that meant bettering how leaders learn.

Leaders don’t learn in dull classrooms packed with 30+ colleagues, experiencing a cookie-cutter lecture about things that could have been read in a memo. Leaders learn from engagement, experience, dialogue and creating practical paths forward.

So I built a company to shake up the way we approach and support great leaders. And over the past decade, more and more studies have emerged that validate the absorption and retention rate of more integrated and energized learning environments like ours.

I have also felt the impact. People leave my engagements saying it was the single best learning experience of their career. Six months later, they're doing things differently and getting better results.

I invite you and your organization to have an Axe & Arrow experience that results in real behavioral change for your leaders.

Ingrid has fifteen years of experience coaching change leaders and transforming organizations. Her career began as a representative of the US State Department on missions in Eastern and Central Europe.  Her assignments involved coaching political and community leaders through conflict resolution and peace negotiations.  During her time in Bosnia-Herzegovina, she built an entrepreneurial training program that still exists today to shift mindset and create opportunity for local youth.

Ingrid applied her international experience back in the US at a fundraising consulting firm where she built and executed strategy that raised over $100 million in fundraising solicitations for organizations like the Wildlife Conservation Society, The New York City Opera, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and The United Nations Foundation.  Her success in fundraising was built on a developed expertise in influence and driving impactful dialogue with senior leaders. She translated this success into a career in Executive Coaching, and founded Axe & Arrow in 2010.

Axe & Arrow was born out of a desire to see better leaders in the world.  It is a consulting firm that specializes in developing world-class leaders.  With a focus on impact, Axe & Arrow serves global leaders and organizations around the world seeking change.  Clients include: Blizzard Entertainment, Coca-Cola, Disney, Electronic Arts, Facebook, Microsoft, The Mill, Nordstrom, Old Navy, Oracle, Starbucks, and Universal Music.

Ingrid has an M.A. in International Relations and a Certificate in Advanced Studies of Facilitation & Conflict Resolution from the Maxwell School, Syracuse University. She holds Advanced Certificates from Harvard Law (Influence) and M.I.T. (Leadership & Influence).  She is faculty on the McKinsey LEAD program worldwide, adjunct faculty for the Center for Creative Leadership, Master Coach at The Mind Gym, and Senior Coaching Partner at Bluepoint Leadership.

We give our clients complete presence and a 100% human connection with every interaction. Our coaches are partners in your journey: they tell it like it is, and they show up without pretense or ego.

Challenge

We believe challenge is a key component to growth. Our coaches speak out, push back, and are not afraid to challenge clients and leaders if it means a more successful outcome. We don’t succeed if we don’t get your people to think differently and drive to deeper insights.
