Presenting Needs:

QBE kicked off their Women in Crop program in October 2023 with aims to do the following:
  • - Enhance Representation and Diversity: The program addresses the existing gender disparity in leadership roles within the crop insurance industry, fostering a more inclusive environment that promotes diverse perspectives and decision-making.
  • - Develop Skills and Build Confidence: By equipping women with essential skills and tools, the program empowers participants to navigate the male-dominated agricultural landscape, helping to build their confidence and professional presence.
  • - Create a Talent Pipeline: The program serves as a targeted development opportunity to identify and cultivate future female leaders in crop insurance, ensuring a continuous flow of talent that can drive innovation and growth within the industry.
QBE approached Axe & Arrow to deliver the "Engaging" module of the program.  This would involve two sessions designed to support and grow participant confidence, increase messaging impact and polish executive presence.

Executive Influence
VIRTUAL  |  12 PARTICIPANT MAXIMUM  |  TWO MODULES

Great leadership is built on our ability to influence others to accept and execute on our ideas.  However, an increase in overall messaging across the organization makes it increasingly more challenging for your ideas to be heard, gain momentum or reach implementation.  Executive Presence shows you how to adjust your messages and your presence to make them more compelling. Increase your influence by taking charge of the three elements of your presence.  Executive Presence confronts the challenges of being heard, and teaches leaders how to move audiences and make real impact through key shifts in how we show up at work.
By the end of this workshop, leaders will report:
  • Increased confidence in presenting at the leadership level
  • More compelling presentations
  • Greater knowledge around the science of how presence impacts messaging
  • Practice with adjusting presence, colleague feedback on small presence tweaks that would increase overall presentation impact

MODULE PRE-WORK
  • What is a change you want to see at QBE? Imagine you have three minutes to pitch this change to key members of leadership (no slides).  How will you craft your message and use your virtual presence to get what you want?
Picture
MODULE ONE: Executive Influence
12 participants

AGENDA  |  2 hours
  • PREWORK:  What is a change you want to see within the organization?  Imagine you have the opportunity to present your ideas to a group of senior leaders.  How will you craft a 3 minute (No slides) presentation on your idea.
  • Why change the way we share messages?
  • What makes a message compelling?
  • What makes delivering messages challenging?
  • How is your presence impacting your message?
  • How can you craft a more compelling story to ask for the change you want to see at QBE?
MODULE TWO: Executive Presence
4 participants per cohort
AGENDA  |  1.25 hours
  • PREWORK:  Record and submit, a 2-3 minute presentation (No slides) on the change you want to see at QBE.
  • How do you need to show up with your audience in order to get what you want?
  • How does your presence change your message?  What story does your current presence tell others about your brand?
  • What specific feedback can your colleagues provide to increase the influence of your messaging across the org?
  • What small adjustments can you make in the moment to amplify the power of your voice?

"Hands down, the most fun I've ever had in a workshop.  I loved the games and mini challenges.  I learned so much about how to get what I want from those around me and can't wait to start applying it on the daily. This workshop was insightful, engaging and super practical.  A must for anyone who wants to make a difference at their organization."
